Feral Sauvignon BlancFeral translates to “(especially of an animal) in a wild state.” This 100% Sauvignon Blanc from the Evergreen Vineyard truly is a wild animal. A play on our commitment to native or “wild” fermentation, this wine is a powerhouse of clean and focused flavors. Aromas of lime leaf, verbena, oyster shell and crushed stone nuanced by white peach, tangerine and linden flower explode from the glass. It hits the palate with a punch of persistent, mouthwatering acidity and finishes with inherent minerality. If you enjoy fresh shellfish, this wine will be a perfect match for dinner.

This very special rosé was first released in 2014, bringing you the first taste of our young estate vineyards. Set high on the slope in Grandview, Washington, our Oldfield Estate is producing Mourvedre and Grenache grown specifically for rosé. It is picked a little early to preserve acidity and then delivered cold straight to the press. It is left on the skins for just two hours, producing its signature wild salmon pink hue. This is a true representation of the roses you would find in the Provence region of France. It opens up with aromas of minerals, orange blossom, fresh-picked strawberry, and white watermelon. The body is full and creamy, yet crisp, with a silky texture and minerality.

Lola Chardonnay is named for Daniel & Helen Ferrelli’s granddaughter. Sourced from one of Washington’s newest AVA’s, The Ancient Lakes. Lola brings old world elegance to the new world with a restrained oak program, natively fermented to enhance the terroir with notes of pineapple, sourdough bread, and wet rock/flint. It is truly a standout among domestic Chardonnays.

Ceidleigh Syrah

During a trip to Australia’s wine regions, the family was impressed with the hospitality and stories of a server by the name of Ceidleigh. Pronounced kay-lee, spelled in the Gaelic traditional way and refers to a traditional Scottish or Irish social gathering with Gaelic folk music and dancing. Of the handful of 100% Syrah’s we produce, many consider this our “Goldilocks” Syrah. Exceptionally balanced, ripe red bramble fruit, hints of funky earthy notes and a rich full body. Perfect for grilling season.

This 100% Syrah is unique displaying ultra-concentrated color, aroma, and flavor. We’ve all been there before; enjoying the company of friends after work and you find that your “final” drink of the night is fleeting, so you agree to have “just one more.” Coincidentally, our Final Final Red Blend is also the last wine we blend and bottle each year. Comprised of two powerhouse varieties, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, this wine is full of intense aromas and rich, dark fruit flavors.

Every family has their own term of endearment - Nana, Nonna, Nonni, but no matter the pronunciation, this wine is a tribute to Grandmothers everywhere. In the EFESTE family, Nana was named in honor of Daniel Ferrelli’s Grandmother, Jenny Ferrelli. Styled after the traditional right bank Bordeaux region, it is a unique blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The key to this blend is the Cabernet Franc. Traditionally used as a blending tool, this varietal displays bright ruby color, and a tart mouthwatering acidity. When combined with the softer edges and baking spice qualities from the Merlot, it offers a warm and comforting personality. Just like Nana.

Joe Taylor, youngest son of Angela and Kevin Taylor, is the inspiration behind this powerful wine. As EFESTE was ready to release our first vintage, Angela and Kevin got news that Joe, at the age of five, had been diagnosed with Leukemia. During the many visits to the doctors during treatment, Joe remained strong and determined to beat it, earning the nickname “Tough Guy” from his doctors. Thankfully, the treatments were effective, and Joe remains in remission today. After enduring this terrible challenge, the Taylor’s wanted to do their part to help find a cure. 20% of the sales of this wine go directly to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. A bold, powerful blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, Tough Guy displays dark fruit flavors with nuances of savory, earthy aromas.

The crown jewel of the EFESTE collection of wines, Eléni is the benchmark for premium Washington State Syrah. EFESTE Owner, Helen Ferrelli, is the inspiration for this 100% Syrah. Eléni, her given Greek name, is anglicized as Helen. Lovingly known as Yia Yia in the family, it was important to create a wine as special as the woman who has supported the Ferrelli family winemaking tradition from the very beginning. Sourced from the oldest Syrah vines in the state at the Red Willow Vineyard, this is our go-to Syrah when the craving for ultra-saturated color with explosive aromas of black/purple fruit, dried dates, fresh herbs, licorice and grilled olive takes hold. Another wine produced exclusively for our wine club members, Eléni is a truly special offering that stands out as a premiere example of Washington State becoming the new epicenter of wine.

In 2019 while visiting Stonetree vineyard, the beautiful site in Wahluke slope AVA where we grow the grapes for Paulie, the grower Tedd offered to show me the new vineyard he had just planted 3 years prior. It was just a couple of miles down the road, nestled away across an irrigation stream. I was immediately excited to work with him on a new wine. In your red and mix allocations, you’ll find the new EFESTE Malbec, I hope you all enjoy it as much as I love making it!
