With winemaking roots dating back to prohibition-era Chicago, the Ferrelli family was destined to own a winery. In 2005, Daniel Ferrelli, aka “Big Papa,” opened the EFESTE winery alongside his daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Kevin Taylor.
After only a year of production, EFESTĒ landed at #15 on the Wine Spectator Top 100. This early success set the stage for numerous accolades, with our wines consistently earning an average score of over 91+ points. Notably, EFESTĒ produced the highest-rated Chardonnay (2009 Lola – 96 pts) out of Washington State.
In 2007, we expanded by purchasing vineyards in the Red Mountain and Yakima Valley AVAs. By 2013, these grapes became the foundation of our flagship red blend, Final Final.
We proudly produced our first estate wine in 2014, marking a significant milestone. Today, 85% of our wines are produced with Estate-grown fruit from our three Estate vineyards: Angela’s Vineyard, Oldfield Estate Vineyard, and Taylor Mag Vineyard.
