Our Story
EFESTĒ (pronounced “F-S-T”) was established in 2005 by Daniel and Helen Ferrelli along with their son-in-law and daughter, Kevin and Angela Taylor. Since its inception, EFESTĒ’s primary focus has been producing premium Washington wines with an emphasis on minimal intervention techniques such as native fermentation and low oxygenation.
EFESTĒ sources its exceptional grapes from the finest regions in Washington, including Red Mountain, Wahluke Slope, Columbia Valley, Ancient Lakes of the Columbia, and Yakima Valley AVAs. EFESTĒ emphasizes sourcing from their three Estate vineyards, Angela’s Vineyard, Oldfield Estate Vineyard, and Taylor Mag Vineyard.
Milestone Moments
1995: First labeled wine is created in “Big Papa” Daniel Ferrelli’s garage
2003: EFESTĒ is established
2004: EFESTĒ Logo is discovered in Australia’s wine country
2005: EFESTĒ opens the first tasting room in Woodinville, WA
2007: EFESTĒ purchases and plants three Estate Vineyards
2009: Awarded Best New Winery from the Washington Wine Awards
2014: Produces the first 100% Estate-grown wine
2017: Opens second tasting room in the SoDo district of Seattle, WA
2018: 500,000 bottles sold
2024: $350,000 raised for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through “Tough Guy” Red Wine with a cause, and Rockin’ Sips benefits.
