Mature vines with deep, established roots struggle and naturally produce fewer clusters with smaller berries that ripen slowly. This combination of lower yields, smaller berries, and longer hang time creates wines that are richer, more concentrated, and complex. We found that using older, prominent vineyards brings an extra dimension of complexity and polish to this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Tasting Notes:
For the second straight vintage, this single grower Old Vine Cab opens with nice smooth, leathery notes. It's peppery and almost chocolatey. The oak program lends to the mouthfeel as it has excellent length and roundness in the tannins and big bold flavors of black currant. The finish is long and perfectly balanced. Age this wine, and pair it with grilled meats!
